De Boterhamshow is an educational television programme for kids. You could compare it to the dutch talkshow 'De wereld draait door'. Every Boterhamshow episode has a 'film of day', which is a one minute long animation.
I worked on this project during my internship at Frame Order. Arno de Grijs was my supervisor for this project and was also responsible for the client contact. For de Boterhamshow I was able to come up with the Film of the Day 'Muurboompje'. It is a story about a giraffe who is stuck on the walls. One day he tries to reach a different building, because there is very tasty tree over there! Will he succeed?
Character animation, artstyle, storyboard and coloring are done by me and background photo's, sound design, editing and post production are done by Arno de Grijs.
Another 'Film of the day' that I had the pleasure to work on was 'IndYAan'. It is a story about a native american who is trying to trigger a smoke signal. Just like our friend the giraffe, this character is also stuck in the wall.
I worked on character animation and smoke animation. Fire animation, character design and some character animation is done by Niek Hendrik. Storyboard, sound design, editing and post production is done by Arno de Grijs.
